FAQ: Jewelry Materials

PIGMENTS

I use only vegan pigments in all of my designs, and often incorporate recycled materials such as coffee grounds, repurposed makeup pigments, & aluminum can pieces.

EPOXY

I use almost exclusively epoxy resin (as opposed to UV resin). I find epoxy to be much stronger, sturdier, and more long-lasting. I hand-pour every single item in very small batches. I use only 1 long-trusted U.S. manufactured brand of epoxy which is food safe and heat resistant. Please note that epoxy pieces should still never be placed near open flames or extreme heat (such as a stovetop). Additionally, if you live in a very hot climate, you should not place your item in direct sunlight. Although the piece might be able to withstand these conditions without issue, it's possible that such extreme conditions could cause it to temporarily soften & lose durability.

EARRING CLASPS

I use only hypoallergenic, nickel-free earring clasps which are made of either surgical steel (all posts), gold-plated or stainless steel (hook & huggie hoops).
